Automated Bladder Diary & Overactive bladder (OAB)

An overactive bladder (OAB) causes a frequent and sudden urge to urinate that may be difficult to control. Patients feel the need to pass urine many times during the day and night, and may also experience unintentional loss of urine (urgency incontinence).

Studies show that 40 million people in the US and 22 million in Europe suffer from OAB-discomfort. However, only around 40% of these people seek medical care. Individuals tend to pursue less social interaction and have a poorer quality of life when they have symptoms of OAB.

When seeking care, automated bladder diaries can help to shorten the OAB patient pathway. Most patients try at least two treatments before they experience satisfactory symptom relief. The evaluation takes time and therapeutic onsets differ by patient and treatment.

Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM), with an automated bladder dairy (Diary Pod – Minze Health) can give objective automated reporting of patient‐related outcome measures. This assists in providing quicker insights into the moment of onset of the therapeutic effect, thereby helping to shorten the patient pathway.
